Choosing the Right Northern Cairn Course
The first step in your training will be deciding which course best suits your needs. The Wilderness First Responder course is the most advanced course we offer that does not require prerequisites. The Wilderness First Responder course is a standard for outdoor professionals. We also offer the Wilderness First Responder in the 5-day WFR format. If you are looking for a more basic, though still informative and intense course, the Wilderness First Aid course runs over a two-day period. Preparation
You've found the right course for you, you've registered, and now you need to prepare yourself. Please carefully read the course descriptions to see what you should bring. You may also download the Wilderness Medical Associates' Student Handbook, along with their Student Participation Guidelines.
