Northern Cairn was born out of the need for experiential education and specialized rescue training specific to the Great Lakes region for backcountry professionals rescue agencies and outdoor enthusiasts. Classes are also ideal for fire fighters, EMTs, law enforcement, doctors and nurses. Committed to providing exceptional training opportunities through various internationally recognized institutions, Northern Cairn also offers the option of tailor made programs for agencies and universities customized to meet their needs or interests.

Instruction is held at Camp Daggett in northern lower Michigan (halfway between Charlevoix and Petoskey). Camp Daggett has the ability to provide meals and lodging for 75 students. We also have the ability to bring many of our classes to your location, thus minimizing out of pocket expenses for the student.

Special Rescue Services programs are IRIA Certified & NFPA 1670 and
1006 compliant.
